South Portland Auto Repair

Ted runs the best auto repair shop at Ocean Street Auto. His team is honest, hardworking, reliable, and most importantly, kind. I’m grateful to have been a customer for 22+ years.

I always leave Ocean Street Auto feeling a sense of calm and reassurance. Ted and the team are the best. I always feel confident when I pick up my car because I know they’ve taken great care of it. They’re honest, reliable, and genuinely care about their customers.

We are very pleased with this business! We needed a transmission in our vehicle and had taken it to a business that was scamming us completely, and way overpriced! Ocean Street towed the vehicle to their business and replaced the transmission for close to half the price the other place quoted. Also, the other place said at least 2 months, and Ocean Street had it completed in less than 3 weeks! The warranty on the new transmission was 3 times better/longer than the other place as well! We couldn't be happier to find an honest auto mechanic business. Very nice people, and great work!

Honest, reasonably priced, and efficient.

Ted is the best! Honest and reliable service. Thank you!

Thank you Ted!

Ted's the Man and does great work at a fair price. I would recommend Ocean Street Auto to anyone!

I actually wonder if Yelp has been review-bombed by just one or two people, considering they have 4.5 stars on google? This place is legit, and the owner is just a nice guy period, he doesn't lie to customers or exaggerate prices. I will let others vent and tell their story for sure, but I've never had an issue here the past 7 or 8 years. I've had my car here several times, and once when they couldn't fit me in they even recommended another local shop.

I’ve been going to ocean st for years. Brought 3 different cars there. It’s hard to find and trust a good shop these days. Ted and his team have always been real and worked with me. They have even taken money off my bill. What garage can you say will do that when it comes to saving the customer a buck!? I plan to continue to use them for business as long as I can. Great guys. Trust worthy shop! I highly recommend ocean street auto for all your car needs. They have never said they can’t do something! Absolute life savers when it comes to my vehicles. Thanks Ted!

I have been taking my Jeeps to Ted for years, he always gets me in and back on the road quick- He has gone above and beyond to work with my new extended warranty plan to help me save money. He always listens, and never makes me feel like I am asking stupid questions. Thanks Ted and crew!
